A Cyber-Tale for Kids

// February 18th, 2010 // 7 Comments » // Books

Ten-year-old Danny Lenesky can’t imagine anything more fun in the whole world than playing on his computer.That is, until he gets sucked right into it and lands smack in the middle of a video game.

He zooms like a pinball from one game to another, dreaming of video game glory.  Before long, he comes across Jingo, a kind blue mutant, who teaches Danny about the tricks of his virtual world.  More alluring, however, is spunky Desmond whose thrill seeking ways lead Danny further and further into the unknown.

Soon, Danny realizes his recklessness has jeopardized Jingo’s life, and it’s almost too late to save him. Forced to decide between friend and fun, Danny abandons the games.  But he has to act fast.  With Desmond sabotaging his every move, Danny’s race against the clock seems doomed to fail.  Pressing on, he knows that Jingo’s fate rests on him and that each decision he makes – no matter how difficult – will determine if he can ever return home.

This cyber-tale for video-game-loving kids will be podcast one chapter at a time.  Eventually, it will be available as a real-life book!  The author is in talks with her publicist (who is coincidentally herself) to determine the ideal book launch date.  Details to follow… one day.
