D. M. Bileski has written many serious books including How to Build a Snowman in Summer, The Fine Art of Pencil Sharpening, The Bad Breath Guide to the World’s Most Popular Mints, and Belly Flopping for Dummies. (Actually, none of that is true!)
Danny in a Newfangled World is her first fiction book for kids who are willing to laugh at just about anything. She has been writing for adults for many years and has had articles and short stories published online and off line in magazines, newspaper, and a short story collection. Her three zany boys inspired her to write this latest book and were invaluable consultants in the process. She blogs regularly on this web site and her parenting blog, porridgereport.com.
Her favourite time of year is the coldest part of winter so she can wear pyjamas all day and never has to brush her hair thanks to parkas and toques. The sequel, Saving Ivan, is undergoing final edits and will be available for sale by late 2012.
